Using Thrive Apprentice as a Standalone Product vs Using the Entire Thrive Suite

How does using Thrive Apprentice as a standalone product differ to using the entire Thrive Suite?

Thrive Apprentice is our course building platform, with the help of which you can create online courses that you can sell or share with your users. This is one of the most customizable WordPress course plugins.

Thrive Apprentice is independent of your theme. This means you'll be able to create courses and design your course environment (course overview page, course module page, school page, lesson page, etc.) without having to install and use other Thrive tools.

Here are some useful resources to give you an idea on how the entire online school can be customized:

When designing these templates you'll be using Thrive Architect, which is our visual editor.

Thrive Architect can be used anywhere within the Thrive Apprentice environment. This means you'll be able to use it to create the default login page for your students, create and customize the lesson content as you wish and so on.

The difference when you're only using Thrive Apprentice (and not the full Thrive Suite) is that you won't be able to use Thrive Architect on pages that are outside your Thrive Apprentice environment.

So you will not be able to create standalone sales pages using Thrive Architect (you may, however, use other page builders).

If you do not own Thrive Suite, which includes Thrive Architect, that means that you won't be able to use such elements on your pages. This also includes adding different login form templates that are not the standard login page for your users.

More than that, you won't be able to use the "Conditional Display" feature on normal pages and blog posts, as you'd need the visual editor for that.

To sum up, using Thrive Apprentice as a standalone you'll have a fully functioning, nicely designed course environment to sell online courses but you won't be able to customize your theme elements (sidebar, footer, etc.) or other pages or posts on your site using our tools.

Moreover, owning Thrive Suite means that you will be able to use Thrive Theme Builder, and thus have the chance to create and design the theme of your website.

You can read this article for a better understanding of how Thrive Architect and Thrive Theme Builder complement each other.
