Cloning a page or a post in the backend of WordPress can be done in just a few clicks, and this article will show you how.

As an example, I will clone one of my pages but please keep in mind that the process is exactly the same one in the case of duplicating posts.

Start by accessing your WordPress admin dashboard and access your "Pages" section:

This opens a list with all of your published and unpublished pages:

Find the page you want to clone and hover over it. Hovering over each one will unravel more options, including the "Clone" one:

As you click on the option, the page will immediately duplicate and a new one will be created. This one will be named "Clone of << name of the initial page >>":

And you can go ahead and start customizing it.

The only thing you have to remember is that, when you clone a page, some metadata associated with the initial page will not be kept for the second one. You will have to go and manually add metadata to the cloned version.

This is how you can duplicate a WordPress page/post in seconds.
