If you have purchased a Thrive Theme Builder theme, but you do not own Thrive Architect, you might have noticed that the Thrive Theme Builder theme came with a light version of this product.

This is because, when you are customizing a template of a theme with Thrive Theme Builder, you are actually customizing the design of the theme. Should you want to make any modifications to the actual content of a template, you will have to switch to Thrive Architect.

The light version, Thrive Architect Light, was created because we wanted this issue to be covered, and everyone to be able to edit the content when creating a theme using Thrive Theme Builder.

However, there are some differences between the two versions, and you can find them in this article.

  • Landing Page Templates

When using Thrive Architect Light, you will not get access to the wide range of professionally designed Landing Pages that the regular version offers.

You can read this article if you want to find out what Smart Landing Pages are and how you can use them.

  • Pre-Designed Element Templates

Many of the Thrive Architect elements come with various templates that you can play around with, in order to fully customize the element.

These can be changed from the "Template Options" section of the element that you are customizing, in the left sidebar:

However, the Light version will only allow you to use the default template for such elements, and you will have to upgrade to the full version if you want access to all of the other templates:

  • Premium Elements

The full Thrive Architect version offers a wider range of premium elements, which you cannot find in the Light version. These elements will only available upon purchasing the full Thrive Architect version.

Note: Premium elements include: the "Click to Tweet" element, the "Content Reveal" element, the "Table" element, the "Progress Bar" element, etc.

As you can see, some of the elements from the element list will not be available in the Light version.

These are the main differences between the two versions of Thrive Architect.
