Please note that our Legacy Themes have been replaced by new Thrive Theme Builder Themes. While our Legacy Themes are still functional, we are no longer actively developing them. Check out this course to find out how to switch your site to Thrive Theme Builder.
When using Thrive Theme Builder or Thrive Architect, you can use the "Tabs" element in order to structure the content into tabs.
With Thrive, you can easily add horizontal and vertical tabs to you content.
First, go to the Editor in your Dashboard. Click on the ThriveShortcodes dropdown menu and choose "Tabs":
As you click on it, a new window will pop up with the following shortcode options:
Here you can set whether you want your tabs to be horizontal or vertical tabs.
2-3. Tab (1, 2, 3...)
Give a name to the tabs. You can use as many tabs as you want. Click on "Remove" if you want to get rid of a certain tab.
4. Add new tab
You can use more than two tabs - add as many new tabs as you wish by clicking on this button.
Click on "Insert" when you are done with the settings.
Adding Content to the Tabs
After clicking on "Insert", the shortcode will appear in the back-end editor. You will need to add content to your tabs here. Add a text anywhere you see "Enter your content here" in the code:
Your content will need to substitute the "Enter your content here" text, therefore you can delete it and add your content between the brackets ( ]You will need to add your content between these[ ). Make sure you don't delete any of the brackets.
Tabs can look differently depending on the Theme you are using.
This is how horizontal tabs look like in FocusBlog Theme:
Here is an example on how vertical tabs will look like in the front-end using FocusBlog Theme:
Please note that in order to use the Shortcodes as they are described in this article, you have to install the "Classic Editor" plugin. Check out this article to find out more about how to install and use the plugin.
