Please note that our Legacy Themes have been replaced by new Thrive Theme Builder Themes. While our Legacy Themes are still functional, we are no longer actively developing them. Check out this course to find out how to switch your site to Thrive Theme Builder.

We also have a separate article about how to use the "Button" element, you can find it here.

If you want to add a split button to your content, you need to use a shortcode.

Go to the WordPress Editor in your Dashboard, and select "Split Button" from the Thrive Shortcodes drop-down:

A new window will pop up where you can set the following options:

1. Left Text

Add a text you want to appear on the left side of the split button.

2. Left Link

You can set what link you want to be open by clicking on the left side of the button. Note that the link needs to be written in the http:// format. (e.g. https://thrivethemes.com )

3. Left Color

Set the color you want to apply to the left side of the button.

4. Right Text

Add a text you want to appear on the right side of the split button.

5. Right Link

You can set what link you want to be open by clicking on the right side of the button. Note that the link needs to be written in the http:// format. (e.g. https://thrivethemes.com )

6. Right Color

Set the color you want to apply to the right side of the button.

7. Insert

When you are done with the settings, click on "Insert". The split button will now appear in your content.

Depending on which theme you are using, the button may look differently. Here is an example of how the split button looks like using the FocusBlog theme:

Important!

Please note that in order to use the Shortcodes as they are described in this article, you have to install the "Classic Editor" plugin. Check out this article to find out more about how to install and use the plugin.
