Thrive Quiz Builder comes complete with some preset quiz types to help you get your quiz up and running as fast as possible.

You can access these by creating a new quiz from the Thrive Quiz Builder dashboard:

You can then choose the "Social Shares" type from the popup that displays, and click on the “Continue” button:

Why Use a Social Shares Template?

When you choose the social shares template, the software will create the quiz structure so that it is optimized for gathering more and more social shares from your visitors.

Here is what the list building campaign quiz structure looks like:

As you can see from the screenshot above, the quiz structure includes a splash page and a results page. Notice that we haven't included an "opt-in gate" because the conversion goal is social shares, rather than sign-ups.

The most important part of the quiz for obtaining social shares is the results page. The software has automatically created a results page that is optimized for attracting social shares.

This is what the results page will look like (the actual look depends on the style that you have selected, but this is an example):

This results page is primed for getting people to share their badge on the various social media networks (in this case Twitter, Facebook, and Google+).

You will need to, of course, create a social share badge before putting your quiz live. For that, you should take a look at this article.

Why Does this Work so Well for Social Media Sharing?

The social share badge is the critical component for obtaining quiz shares on social media, that's why you'll notice that the template includes the badge as the main focus point on the page.

An attractive badge, and a strong call to action such as "Challenge your friends to beat you" is a perfect combination for attracting shares.
