This article is meant to describe what an Opt-in Gate is, how it displays on a website, and also walk you through the entire process of how to properly use the Opt-in Gate in Thrive Quiz Builder.
What is an Opt-in Gate?
An Opt-in Gate is displayed after the user has answered all of the questions of your quiz, but also before the results page is displayed. It consists of an opt-in form with which you can turn your visitor into a lead.
You can only connect your Opt-in Gate to one of our API integrations because we need to make sure that the visitor is forwarded to the Results Page once he opts in.
Depending on the quiz style you have chosen, your Opt-in Gate will also have a changed display. However, if you select the "Light Blue" quiz style, your Opt-in Gate will look like this:
This way, you can send your user different offers or campaigns that you have running on your website.
How to Set Up your Opt-in Gate
The Opt-in Gate can be found in your Quiz Dashboard, and can be added after you have completed all the steps required to build your quiz. It is located in the "Quiz Structure" section, on the right hand side of the screen:
If you select the "Manage" button you will be sent to a page where you can either edit an Opt-in Gate, or add more of them, and be able to conduct A/B tests between them.
For now, in order to edit your Opt-in Gate, select the presented icon on the right-hand side of your screen:
The Opt-in Gate works like any other Thrive form (e.g. Thrive Leads form, Lead Generation element). The only difference is that the only way this kind of form can be connected to an autoresponder service is through an API Connection.
You can find out more about our current supported API Connections and how to connect your form to each one of them, in this article.
After you have finished configuring your Opt-in Gate, it will be added automatically to your quiz and will be displayed after the user has answered all of your quizzes questions and before the Results Page is shown.
