With Thrive Quiz Builder you can easily engage your visitors with a fun quiz and find out more about them. This article will walk you through the entire process of creating your first quiz with the help of this plugin.

Access Thrive Quiz Builder

You can access Thrive Quiz Builder directly from your Thrive Dashboard:

This will take you to this new dashboard, where you can simply add a new quiz by clicking either one of the options presented below:

Pick a Template

Next, you will be promoted with this pop-up where you have to choose a template for the newly added quiz:

For this article, we are going to choose the "Build from scratch" template, as it is the most general one:

After you select the template, you will have to name your quiz:

And after you do that, you will be able to view the quiz within the Quiz Builder dashboard:

Select a Quiz Type

There are several steps you still have to go through while setting up your quiz. The first one is selecting a quiz type:

Next, choose one of the available options ,depending on the quiz you are trying to build:

As you can see, there are five quiz types you can choose from. Click on the links below for further information on how each of them works:

Select a Quiz Style

After you have chosen your quiz type, click on the "Save" button to go to the next step, in which you need to select a quiz style:

Define Questions and Answers

Once you have chosen a quiz style you will be sent to the third step, which consists of defining the questions and answers of your quiz:

Create a Results Page

After you have completed this step you will be sent to the last one, which consists of creating a results page. Click on "Manage" to start setting up this page:

After your results page is set up, you are done setting up all the mandatory steps in building your quiz and you will receive this success message:

Optional Items

So far we went through the process of creating a basic simple quiz. However, you will notice that there are still several other options in the dashboard, that you can make use of:

One of the optional items which you can add to your quiz is the Social Share Badge:

With this feature, you can create a customizable image, with the purpose of attracting social shares. A social share badge is a graphic that usually includes an attractive image and the result that the user has obtained:

Apart from that, you can also add a Splash Page:

This is a page that will be displayed on your website and will encourage people to start your quiz:

Lastly, you can also add an Opt-in Gate, which will show up after the user has completed your quiz:

The purpose of an opt-in gate is to collect e-mail addresses and transform your site's visitors into leads:

How to Display your Quiz

In order to display your quiz on your WordPress website you can use the "Quiz" element from Thrive Architect:

Simply drag and drop it onto your content, and then proceed with selecting a quiz from the list that appears:

Alternatively, you can copy the shortcode from the Quiz Builder dashboard, and paste it into the WordPress editor. This would be the second way in which you can display your quizzes on your website:
