Using the Comment Sign-in Feature in Thrive Comments

The “Comment Sign-In” feature can allow guests to comment on your website, using their social media accounts (such as Facebook).

To start using this feature, you need to access the Thrive Comments dashboard and then expand the “Comment Sign-In” section:

The first option inside this section can allow guests to insert their website URL when posting a comment:

On the front end, the guests will need to type in their website URL, along with their name and email address:

Moving forward, you can enable the social sign-in by activating the toggle next to this feature:

For the social sign-in to work, you’ll need to set up an API Connection with the preferred social network/networks. Check out this article to find out how to set up these connections.

Below the social sign-in switch, you will see the status of your API Connections. If they’re not set up, it will look like this:

To set up a connection, select the desired social network “Click to set up” button. This will send you to the API Connection page, from the Thrive Dashboard, where all your active API connections will be displayed:

If you want to learn how to set up an API connection with Facebook and Google, please read the below-linked articles:

After you have set up the API connections, the social sign-in status will look like this:

If you click on the connection, it will be disabled:

Click it again, and the status will change back to “enabled”.

When the connection is enabled, the guests will be able to post comments by easily logging into their social media account:

With a simple click, the Facebook pop-up window will show up, allowing your guests to type in their credentials.

This is how you can use the “Comments Sign-In” feature from the Thrive Comments dashboard. Hope you found this article useful! If so, don’t forget to give it a smile below 🙂
